Don’t go by the size chart. I usually wear a large, but bought XL in this and it fits well. I could use either button position, and probably could have gone large, but I wanted a loose fit. Doesn’t feel much like cotton or linen, but is definitely light fabric. Pants hit around ankle, and I’m about 5’6
