Review on ✨ Effortless Installation Guide for Sunco Lighting Recessed Downlights by Khiam Burton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good lighting at a good price, but with a headache.

I have bought about 25 of these units over the years. They work great, there is enough light and the color spectra are accurate. Installation is troublesome due to poor quality installation springs. Of the 25 I installed, 12 springs probably just popped out. My advice: grab the ends and join them, holding them perpendicular to the light. This will help prevent them from popping up - in most cases. It's hard, but it helps. After trying to fit these things into the ceiling, some of them don't sit completely flush. Yes, it's unfortunate and really bothers me, but it's fixable with some sealant. Note that this only happens on a few devices, again due to a poor spring attachment system. The dimmer works surprisingly well. You can get them pretty low if you turn them on at 25% intensity and then turn them back down. Below a certain point they start to flicker and make a small noise of very low intensity, but it's almost inaudible. My other LED lights in the house don't dim as low as these and others are much louder, particularly Philips, at the same dimming levels. So they work great, but be careful when installing them. If the price holds, they're a staple.
