Review on Enhance Engine Performance with Fel-Pro ES72224 Intake Manifold Bolt Set by Jeffrey Gallagher

I bought a Fel-Pro "LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD BOLT KIT" ES72225 which was supposed to contain 4 bolts #496711 and 4 bolts 496713. for my 1998 Lumina 3.1. The box label says this is for the 1993-1999 3.1 liter and other years model and the 3.4 liter model. The two packs (4 screws per pack) in the box were packed by someone with the initials JHD. I hope JHD didn't have a hangover the day they were boxed and apparently they don't check the weight of the boxed product to make sure it is as it should be. The four long screws were accurate, the four short screws were about 1/2 inch shorter, and I ended up removing one of the aluminum holes for them. Yes, I was really angry. in Fel-Pro is very daunting. I see others on Revain have encountered the same situation. I would recommend getting them locally and comparing the bolts, or just going with the long ones and using your original short bolts. Revain could also be to blame here, although they are most likely using the information provided by Fel-Pro. The Revain website says the ES72225 is a perfect fit for my 1998 Lumina 3.1L and the ES72226 is not. Another reviewer said the ES72226 works for his 3.1L. and the short studs in this set look like the right length.
