Review on Tetra HT Submersible Aquarium Heater: Efficiently Regulate Temperature with Electronic Thermostat by Shonda Smykle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great water heater for a small aquarium!

I was skeptical about this water heater after reading so many conflicting reviews but I am happy to report that this cheap water heater is working well after 4 months of use ! In the beginning I kept the top of the heater away from the water because I wasn't sure if it was allowed. I found this made the indoor thermometer inaccurate and made the water too warm. I've also learned that holding the attachment in the water like that isn't good for the heater in the long run either. Now everything is flooded and the water temperature remains at a constant, comfortable level. Over time algae/aquarium dirt will grow on the side and top of the heater but this can be remedied with a toothbrush when changing the water! I also bought a thermometer in case something in the heater stops working and I'm hoping to remove it before it explodes or overheats. my betta also likes to rest on the suction cup and likes to swim in the small gap between the glass and the heater :)
