SDHC UHS-1 card faster and cheaper

This is my second SDHC UHS-1 SanDisk Extreme 32GB card. The first card (SDDSDXR3-032G-A21) is a 30Mb/s card with the label saying HD video. This new card (SDSDX-032G-X46) is a replacement for this 45MB/s class of products. Using a USB 3.0 and UHS-1 enabled card reader, CrystalDiskMark was launched for 50MB, 100MB, 500MB, 1000MB, 2000MB and 4000MB downloads. Sequential reads and writes were very stable on this card, 45MB/s and 43MB/s for reads and writes, respectively. Re-testing the -A21 showed sustained speeds of 45 MB/s and 34 MB/s reading and writing. The new and improved SanDisk Extreme card appears to write about 25% faster. Isn't it just about write speed? Class 10 requires a sustained read/write speed of at least 10MB/s. UHS is an extension of the original SD specification in the SDA 3.0 specification for SDHC and SDXC. UHS-1 is also the minimum sustainable specification of 10MB/s. UHS is a fast data bus. There are UHS-50 and UHS-104 for 50MB/s and 104MB/s, there are no devices yet. UHS-1 is backward compatible with SDHC. Beware of SDXC, unless your device specifically supports a high capacity card, this won't work for you. If your camera supports UHS-1 and uses a faster write speed, you can take great pictures and be ready to take more - faster. 25% faster than previous SanDisk Extreme UHS-1 SDHC card. 32GB stores over 4300 images at the highest resolution for me, or at the lowest resolution - over 48,000 images. Don't forget to make a backup, these are pictures for a lifetime or two.
