Read the instructions, but…

Whether Ecotex instructions or exposure calculator, blow out every time. Screens properly cleaned and degreased and dried before application. Emulsion dried for 24 hours in light safe exposure cabinet. Dual 50W LED lights at 9”. Going back to photopolymer emulsion.

Pros
  • Perfect for All Skill Levels - Whether this is your first screen print kit or you are an advanced printer, Ecotex has your back. 12 month shelf life and proudly made in the USA
Cons

Easy to use, great for really detailed images

I swear by this stuff for making my screens. 10 min exposure with my led up light for highly detailed items. Then it’s just a simple spray rinse and a beautiful screen in no time. Don’t waste your time on other crap like speedball. Excited killed it with this

Pros
  • 2.65 pounds
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with water-based inks

Beginners beware! Learn from my experience *EDITIED*

*This review has been edited after experience.*Skip to last edit for tips**Original*Purchased this thinking I could use an led light to cure. Since I am new and don’t have an exposure unit. Partially correct. I have yet to make a single print without blimishes. Extremely difficult to figure out exposure time. When rinsing the screen to print, residue runs from remaining emulsion and fills my design. HAS NOT WASHED OUT OF 3 SCREENS! (Using ecotex emulsion remover). Not the life frame I was…

Pros
  • Easily removable
Cons
  • May shrink or warp over time, leading to inconsistent printing results

Not bad, still experimenting.

I did an exposure test with the LED emulsion. It said 30 seconds. After 10 screens I am at 38 seconds. Also this emulsion is thin so double coating the shirt side of the screen helped quite a bit. I have a home made DIY blacklight UV exposure unit. Some areas with super fine detail wash out perfectly while others don’t at all. This is super sensitive to too much water so be careful during washout and if you use a pressure washer, hit the shirt side of the screen only.UPDATE: I found that the…

Pros
  • Screen Print Direct
Cons
  • Limited shelf-life after opening

Emulsion works as directed with 50w led!

Saw a lot of negative reviews but maybe they’re just not experienced enough with the process.I exposed 3 screens with a 50w UV led with the recommended 15 seconds and it worked perfectly as directed. Really cut down on waiting time. Will order again when I run out!

Pros
  • USA
Cons
  • May not work well with certain types of textile printing
