Beginners beware! Learn from my experience *EDITIED*

*This review has been edited after experience.*Skip to last edit for tips**Original*Purchased this thinking I could use an led light to cure. Since I am new and don’t have an exposure unit. Partially correct. I have yet to make a single print without blimishes. Extremely difficult to figure out exposure time. When rinsing the screen to print, residue runs from remaining emulsion and fills my design. HAS NOT WASHED OUT OF 3 SCREENS! (Using ecotex emulsion remover). Not the life frame I was expecting to get out of my brand new screens.Makes for an excellent door stop.**First edit **I originally tried curing with a 2’x2’ led drop ceiling tile light thinking it would work. After many failed attempts of cures (5min to 1 hour) I did more research. I then purchased a UV led light. That was the right move. I then tried a 1 min cure at 6” away, too much. I read a question for 11 seconds. Slightly off.I’m still having an issue with it not washing out. It is like it is stuck in the holes of the screen. I am using Ecotex brand emulsion remover which they recommend. I’m rinsing in my shower so the water pressure may not be powerful enough. I have noticed the thicker areas are peeling off. So do as the recommendations say and use a scope coater and not a squeegee. I am bummed because it has ruined several screens. I need a solution for washing out when Ecotex emulsion remover is not working.**Last edit**This is not recommended for beginners, u TEX Red if you are.Use exposure calculator!Use with UV Led light. Not a normal led!I used an air hose to dry the screen after washing out uncured emulsionI had to purchase a small electric pressure washer to help remove the emulsion. And most importantly, if you have questions just email the company. I was hesitant thinking I was capable in learning myself. I was wrong!

Pros
  • Easily removable
Cons
  • May shrink or warp over time, leading to inconsistent printing results
