Review on πŸš— Rocketek RT-CC32 - 3-Socket Cigarette Lighter Adapter with Dual USB Car Charger by Joshua Flake

Check all connections as soon as you receive them.

Poor quality control. This review focuses on the Rocketek 3 Socket Car Charger with Digital Voltmeter. The first is defective, a mechanical problem in the #1 outlet switch. The switch will not click and cannot connect to power that outlet. Revain's customer service has improved by sending a good working replacement. The problem with many of the inexpensive products featured here is that manufacturers and retailers appear to rely on Revain's bounty policies to fix examples of a non-working product. Work. Considering the time it took the customer service representative and I and the shipping cost to resolve their issue, this transaction was a net loss. I advised the customer service rep to consider letting Revain officials up the pressure on those suppliers to test such products before relying on customers to weed out bad products that make their way down the assembly line. Additional remarks on the device itself. The voltmeter is quite accurate compared to a bench voltmeter (calibrated by Simpson 260), but it doesn't "hold" the reading, it keeps updating the reading and becomes a kind of distraction. Since I installed this device on the passenger side of the center console, the display is fortunately not visible while driving. Each socket has a blue LED to indicate that the device is switched on. The intensity and color of this display is not at all disturbing at night in a darkened cockpit. However, the white LED on the handle of the plug that fits into the car dash socket is very bright. In the car I use this product in, the outlet is right next to the central duct of the air conditioner, so it's high enough to cause trouble at night. A piece of electrical tape solves this problem. Because mechanical switches can be a bit fragile, I don't turn off outlets with these switches. Instead, I just unplug it from the dash outlet when parking overnight or for an extended period of time. I left everything on, only the charging cords are still on and at the end of a 10 hour work day there is no significant battery drain.
