I bought this unit to convert a 7.1cc Igloo Chest Freezer Feet in the fridge for my home brew kegs (aka "Keezers"). Many people use the STC-1000 temperature controller for this purpose, but now that the ITC-1000 is available I'm sure it will become the US standard as it displays Fahrenheit while the STC-1000 only displays Celsius. Otherwise the ITC-1000 is more or less similar to the proven STC-1000. Rather than hardwiring it to the freezer to replace its controller, I created a separate box that contains the temperature controller and outlets to connect devices like the freezer. This makes it a versatile unit should I decide to add another chest freezer in the future or want to use it with a different heating or cooling device. I was disappointed that the product packaging was damaged as it was only sent in a padded envelope, but the controller seems to work fine. Surprisingly, there was a protective film on the front LCD, so it already has small scratches on it. It fits in a DEEP 2-seater box. I haven't tested the accuracy yet, but plan to do so soon. Also, there was a storm recently and he must have turned off the controller when the temperature dropped to 9 degrees Fahrenheit while the cooling and heating lights were on (not used). I disabled everything to reset it and now it works fine. I added a network filter to see if that would help. The attached schematic is not very good and there is no manual but there is a newer version that might help. I've also included some of the best schematics I've found online for reference, so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! ;) Instructions: Included @http://www.ink-bird.com/asset/file/ITC-1000F_EN.pdfUpdated Version@http://www.ink-bird.com/asset/file/ITC-1000%20Manual %20-%20V1.2.pdf My Settings: TS (Temperature Setpoint) = 38 degrees DS (Differential Setpoint) = 3 degrees PT (Compressor Delay) = 10 minutes CA (Temperature Calibration Value) = 0 degrees (needs to be checked) CF (Fahrenheit or Celsius setting) = F Note. This fixture is not exactly the same size as a regular rectangular decorative lamp/socket. This is very bad. In my setup I used a plate designed for a decoration and a regular switch and simply cut it to the size of a regular switch to fit the ITC-1000. It looks very nice, but it would be much easier and nicer for me if they sized the controller to fit the standard rectangular hole in the decorative light/socket cover!
