The bullet is very rough with big lugs, so It twitches instead of a smooth twist. There is no such thing as a smooth adjustment with this stand. I had to put the stem with the ball in a drill and sand it smooth and also bevel the inside of the ball holder to get good control over the repositioning. There is also nothing on the shaft to make it easier to screw into the chamber, so either loosen the mount and try to screw in the threaded part, which is tricky, or tighten the mount and twist the whole chamber to get it onto the mount to screw.
