I love the look of this bracelet and the ease of use of the magnetic bracelet. There are other magnetic tapes that don't look as pretty. However, I learned the expensive lesson that form overrides function. I recently bought a new Fitbit Sense after losing my old one after submerging in deep water with a magnetic bracelet. I learned my lesson and didn't wear a new watch while swimming. I didn't think about hiking though. As I was climbing a very steep mountain with a lot of rocks, the watch strap hit the edge of my backpack and snapped my wrist off, down the side of a very steep cliff and landed 15 feet below. At first I breathed a sigh of relief because we were able to get it out, only to see the dial smashed on the rock. Although it can be used, my 3 week old scythe is now cracked and broken. This happened a few times before my hike and I didn't have to keep using the bracelet. This happened every time the watch strap accidentally slammed sideways - whether it was a backpack or my long-sleeved shirt. I love being able to constantly adjust the strap due to the magnetic strap, but if you're active at all this strap isn't for you!
