I was never satisfied with my portable podcasting sound and was looking for a way to improve it. I need a microphone kit that's rugged enough to take with me on trips without costing a fortune. I was happy to find the Maono PM461T kit. The microphone stand provides a convenient position for the microphone on the table and allows the user to move it where they can get the best results. The mic and stand are quick to attach or detach and feel sturdy enough to fit comfortably in my travel bag. Overall, the sound is a pleasant surprise for the price of a mic, while other mics in this class tend not to have a gain control, giving this unit additional flexibility. If I had anything to improve upon I would add a headphone output to the mic, but other than that I haven't seen one in this price range with this feature and it's far from a deal breaker as I have a mic. definitely next to the computer. If you're looking to get started with live streaming, podcasting, twitch streaming, or any other form of recording, this mic could be a great place to start.
