There are many military drop test cases on the market, I've found that some of them don't have cases and if you have one of the larger phones they come wrapped in one strong and bulky case it becomes a real problem to get into the pocket so at least for me a good holster that protects my phone and doesn't require 2 hands to get it out of the holster is important.
