Good quality wire. The insulation is thick, the wire is fairly flexible, easily pulled through holes, etc. The conductors are of good quality. The cable is not what I expected, hence the 4 stars. I know this is unfair as it was my expectation that caused me to deduct a star. The insulation on the wire is a kind of double layer. The black and red material is covered with transparent insulation on the outside. I'm not sure of the purpose of this double layer, but it still works. Warning, something I learned the hard way. I had to solder this wire to the connector and the insulation melted easily. When soldering 12 gauge wire, you need to apply enough heat so that the solder spreads and the insulation starts sagging right off the wire. I tried again at a lower temperature (on a soldering iron) and was able to complete the connection by soldering without losing the insulation. If you only use crimp connections (like the rest of me) then this is great material.
