Review on 🔄 Purotwist Omnipure Membrane Cartridge Replacement by Justin Rasmussen

The membrane filter in this kit is known to have a defective check valve. After installing all four cartridges in the correct order, the membrane filter drained almost all of the water into the sewer, preventing the tank from filling up. I contacted EPS who make the other three filters and the reverse osmosis system and they told me there is a known issue with the check valve in the Good membrane cartridge. They checked all their inventory and sent the defective cartridges back to the manufacturer. The principle of operation is that when the tank is filled with water, the membrane must turn off and return the remaining water to the sewer. Faulty valves never open and divert incoming water to the drain. This seller should be aware of this issue and discard defective cartridges from their inventory. I ended up reinstalling my original membrane cartridge and the system works perfectly. Didn't want to mess with sending back all the wet cartridges to possibly end up with another bad diaphragm. Before purchasing this kit, ask the seller about this issue. FYI, most membrane filters never need to be replaced like carbon filters.
