We live in the country and are surrounded by forest.
Due to heavy rains and because our house is surrounded by forest on three sides, we need an extra push to remove moisture. I also used them when our basement flooded with several inches of water. After pumping the water back through 2 sump pumps, I installed them in several corners and they really soaked up the moisture and damp smell. I also use them in closets where we keep heavy coats etc.
