Revain saves the day (again) with QC15 earpads

Bose headphones are like a luxury car with flat tires - great headphones but horrible earpads that were falling apart at the seams. My final run with it involved a 60-mile round trip to a Bose store that stocked QC15 pads, and the second set took half as long as the first. I still had a spare set of pads from the 60 Mile Adventure but thought maybe there might be a third party version and they might be better quality than the original Bose versions. Anything would be an improvement at this point. Some reviews indicated that the toilet pads were better than the originals, which was good enough confirmation for me! I ordered a set and Prime Shipping delivered it quickly. The kit comes with two screen mats, two ear pads, and a seven-step guide, which I didn't use because I decided to watch their YouTube video instead. Removal was easy as the old pads were ready to fall out on their own. Took off the existing floor mats to replace and then had some fun trying to install the pads. otherwise: squeeze 17 ounces into a 1 pound bag. There were no "clicks" but the video highlighted the "hooks" getting under the plastic ring so we focused on that and soon we were able to announce the win! In addition, they cost less than the official ones - a win-win situation. Maybe I should apply some leather conditioner to keep them from peeling? Dry out? and/or split at the seams, just as I currently apply leather conditioner to my business casual shoes to keep them from powdering. I don't think it hurts to touch up the pads every week or two (as needed) and see how they perform. Note: Another QC15 accessory that can break is the audio cable. It's also available from Revain if you need to buy it.
