Seems to work fine but my Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 3 board doesn't like it. Install a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD. The disk sees, but not used. Didn't let me format. I connected it to my Surface Book 2 and it works great there. CrystalDiskMark 6 formatted and running. I plugged it back into my gigabyte board and it saw the drive. Blocks Explorer (Windows 8.1 Enterprise) when trying to do anything with the drive. Some kind of compatibility issue between it and the board. Got a USB-C to USB-A adapter, see if it works with my desktop. I bought it for my phone but I might as well try it on this external one.
