I've been using these knee pads for about 2.5 years now and can say they really do work as promised. I only wear one on my left knee under my baseball pants to protect my knee when I slide or jump for the ball (I didn't have to wear both at the same time, but I think they work well together). I'm finally getting rid of the one I was wearing and started wearing another one that's still new. In terms of longevity, I play about 2 games a week for about 12-14 weeks a year, plus numerous tournament games throughout the year. I am very happy with the value and protection they offer. The main reason I had to throw out a pad is that the hex pad inside the sleeve webbing broke into individual small pieces so it wasn't as protective as when it was new. But getting so many clothes for $20 a pair is great.
