Only this holder suits me. I usually like everything Lodge makes. This is the only cast iron I will buy. I recently bought a couple of large pans and a large wok and needed something to help me support the pans on the other side of the handle. I found and bought this little silicone helper thinking it would be the best thing since sliced bread. Not really. They're fine and I haven't thrown them away (I bought a few). The reason they are the only ones that fit me is this: - The silicone is not thick enough and the hand heats up very quickly as a result. - The holder does not stay on the handle at all. I expect you can put it on and leave it in place. nope Usually they just slide off and land on the plate.
