I turned on my new heater and it immediately started smoking out of the rear vents and smelling awful. I found this odd so I immediately turned it off and put it aside. After a few seconds I looked back and saw everything was melting and smoking and I had to take it outside for fear it would catch fire. Very scary situation, thank goodness I didn't leave once I turned it off.
