This brace was a dream when we first got it. This was the first brace that actually eliminated my son's knee pain and stayed in place. Velcro on both sides for quick adjustments on the fly was way better than any other brand we tried. HOWEVER, after a month or so, these braces are doing the same as any other braces. The loop (fabric) begins to tighten and the hook (plastic) easily detaches, rendering the brace unusable. We've had the brace for a little over 5 weeks and it doesn't stay on for more than a few minutes before opening. We've tried adjusting the point where it gets stuck, but since they're the right size there's very little wiggle room for the medium to adjust one way or the other. I'm not sure a large bracelet with a longer strap will last as long as the loop destroys other parts of the strap, but at $49.99 per brace I expect it to last much longer than 5 weeks. Of course, this happened a week after the return deadline, leaving me stuck with a useless $50 clip. What was sooo good is now sooo bad.
