Considering the price, this is a great scale for home use. I bought it to use as a reference in a normal seafood restaurant. We have a couple of vintage stainless steel Edlund digital scales that are sadly nearing their inevitable demise, but I'm not very keen on spending more than $250.00 on the scale alone. As mentioned, these scales are excellent for the price, work as expected and greet you with a sweet "hello" message upon startup. I only have two complaints about this scale: Less durable, which is very important in a commercial kitchen 2.) The weighing platform cannot be removed from the base, which makes regular cleaning difficult.
