Review on 🚲 ZONKIE Bike Pedals - Road and MTB Pedals, Flat Aluminum Alloy Platform with Sealed Bearing Axle (9/16 inch) by Adam Wilson

Robust construction at an affordable price

Very strong all-metal construction. I wear trail or touring shoes and these pedals hold my shoes perfectly on the pedals of my comfort bike. They are wide enough to spread the weight across the width of my legs. This reduces stress on the inner toes when climbing hills or riding long distances. Satisfied enough to buy another pair for my mountain bike. The left pedal has a knurled axle. Note when installing and removing the pedals: forwards-up-down. I have Zefal Cristophe toe clips (L/XL size) attached to my US men's size 10.5 sneakers. It took a little effort. I took the bolt and nut that came with the toe clips to a hardware store and bought longer bolts, washers, and nylon spacers. For the nylon pads I needed 5/16" length and .194" ID but ended up buying 2/16" and 3/16" as the 5/16" was out of stock. I also bought nuts since I wanted all the metal parts. Stainless steel. The reflectors came off easily. Don't try to pry them out from the front, it's much easier to push a piece of wood (or similar) backwards. Took it out on the road for an hour and a half ride and it worked fine. It took a bit of practice to get the toe clips in as the pedals are grippy, but after a while I learned to snap in smoothly. I will update if I run into any issues with this setup. next year.
