Unfortunately this isn't a real red LED. It's not a rich deep pure red like in the pictures (Or what a red LED should be) but sickly, bright, warm, not quite red, almost deep pink. It feels like it's just a white LED but coated with a chemical that tries to make it look red but fails miserably. I'm sure that I can find it somewhere, they have a use but for my planned project they won't work.
