Review on 🌿 Biokleen Eco-Friendly Natural Produce Wash - Pack of 2 - Safely Cleans Vegetables, Fruits, and Grocery Produce by Patricia Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cleans food well but contains sulfates and other chemicals. I can't judge if the election is safe.

I received 2 Biokleen dish soaps (16oz each) which can be diluted with water to soak and clean food or rub into food. It must be washed thoroughly. It appears to be good at removing wax and residue, but that's no big surprise since it contains surfactants like sodium lauryl sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine. This is odd since I avoid them in my shampoos and body washes whenever possible, so I'm not entirely comfortable using product washes with these ingredients, even if they're plant-based. I can't say whether my concern is justified. However, the FDA states that the safety of using food detergents has not been studied, and the FDA and CDC recommend washing fruits and vegetables in plain cold water instead of washing food. . I'm not a chemist and I certainly don't know if a food washer is safe when the FDA doesn't even know. I've used brands that seem to contain less controversial chemicals than Biokleen. While it does its job well, I wonder if it's very different from my natural body wash or plant-based shampoo. I really do not know it. Biokleen seems to clean well, but I can only give a neutral rating as I can't tell if it's a good health choice. 3 stars.
