I still have two pairs of Altras (both run) but this is my first pair of Altra running shoes. A little concerned about the sizing but they fit perfectly - I usually wear a 9.5 and 10 like a glove (bought a half size based on other reviews). The toe is nice, wide and very comfortable. The padding is just right, not too minimalistic, but not too soft either. No rubbing anywhere (and I get blisters easily), ready for the first run right out of the box, no breaking in required. I can't wait to buy the next pair in a different color!
