Phenomenal running shoes for long distances!

As a marathon runner, Altra never disappoints! Kayenta is the perfect shoe for my needs. The toe box has enough room to feel your toes (where traditional shoes often cramp your toes). Altra Zero Drop construction provides a more natural ride. With previous knee surgeries, the cushioning was ideal for avoiding high impact and reducing the impact force on my joints. I highly recommend this shoe for long distance runs!

AMAZING - Women's

I still have two pairs of Altras (both run) but this is my first pair of Altra running shoes. A little concerned about the sizing but they fit perfectly - I usually wear a 9.5 and 10 like a glove (bought a half size based on other reviews). The toe is nice, wide and very comfortable. The padding is just right, not too minimalistic, but not too soft either. No rubbing anywhere (and I get blisters easily), ready for the first run right out of the box, no breaking in required. I can't wait to buy…

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Something different

Wide toe box fits size

I've been looking/researching for the best hiking/work shoes for at least 10 months. I needed something to relieve my bursitis and newly formed heel spurs at the time of purchase. I work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and it was a bit difficult for me to find time to buy new shoes. They fit perfectly in size. I wear an 8 and this is an 8. The toe box is wide and I no longer feel pressure on the bursitis. As for the heel spur, I might need to add a little cushion, but I couldn't live without it…

Amazingly comfortable

I can't love these shoes more than I already do. I would like to give more than 5 stars. I've been wearing Altras for about 5 years now. All different versions, One, Escalante, HIIT trainer and a few others. This one is definitely the best. Honestly, my legs hurt all day long until I put them on. The inside of the shoe is like a cuff that gently squeezes the feet to keep them from moving. You are very supportive. I'm only just getting back into running after having a baby and if my shoes were…

  • Good but not great
