Don't worry about my 12 inch subwoofer speaker coming out of the chipboard box when it's installed. I used a ratchet to gently tighten the connectors first so they retracted into the back of the tree, and then loosened the screw (until they were all in place) and installed the speaker. Just take your time and everything works fine. This size was a little big and the screw barely went through the speaker mounting hole on my Pioneer speaker but it fits fine. You can widen the speaker hole a bit with a drill if needed, BE CAREFUL! It's also good if you ever want to remove the speaker so you don't have to worry about breaking screw holes and drilling new ones.
