I use disposable straws with my morning coffee to avoid staining my teeth. I need a variant that I could reuse and they work well for that. They are durable and easy to clean in the dishwasher. Just two questions. 1) I need them shorter for my coffee mugs. They say they can be cut, but no matter how hard I try, the cut end ends up with jagged edges. I just throw the bottom end away, making sure the cut end is always pointing down when I use them. 2) They are too wide to fit through many of my lids that disposable straws would fit through, so I had to have lids made specifically for straws. For reference, I usually drink coffee from an insulated metal Yetti coffee mug with a lid.
