There are no complaints about the glass and the lower outer shell. However, the lid breaks very easily and is in one piece. The spout is the inner threaded part for the bottle while the cap is the outer part that attaches to the spout. As long as it's attractive, that's all. Throw a bottle and let it land in the cap at any angle from almost any height and the inside will rupture and water will spill everywhere. The first one I received broke during shipping. The second fell on my knees in the car and broke. The plastic that goes with the lid is too brittle and of poor quality. Once the inner cap is broken because the outer cap is meant to be screwed onto it and not the bottle itself, it's all useless.
