So, fast forward 30 years, 2021 Canon EOS, all digital, This 55-200mm IS lens is an amazing addition to the M50 and the standard 15-55 lens. This lens completes the kit! I've only had it a few days but I bought mine refurbished and it looked brand new. It gave me the opportunity to take pictures that I couldn't before and now I get to see great birds! Today I even caught a hummingbird on it, which I couldn't do before. In terms of stability and performance, it is exactly the same as the standard lens, image stabilization, color, weight are all the same. Incidentally, an extremely light lens for its range. It's a pleasure to wear. It looks great on my white M50, I JUST LOVE THIS SETUP! My Amazonian carrier was great too! came in a few days. *One thing that is different is that the filter thread is 52mm compared to 49mm of the standard lens, so you can use some filters, UV, Cir-Pol etc. I used a KN Nano polarizer specifically for this and it takes amazing photos. One of the best APC installations of its time! My other main device is the Fuji XS10, although it also smokes. But they are different.
