Review on πŸ•οΈ Toaks Light Titanium 550ml Pot - Enhanced Version for Ultralight Outdoor Enthusiasts by Sean Garrison

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's always okay to worry about a small pot

I bought the TOAKS Titanium 550ml kettle at the end of November. I've taken it on two trips since then and it's worked better than any pot or mug I've used before. I've been using the same steel pot for over twenty years. It weighs ten ounces. I've gradually tried to lighten my load and bought the TOAKS pot because it's much lighter (weighs less than three ounces even in a tote bag), got great reviews and because it's significantly cheaper than other comparable titanium ones. cups I had imagined it to be good, but for my purposes it was more than great. I used a homemade spirit lamp from a Spam can (like the Fancy Feast stove). I've never managed to get a decent boil in a steel pot. Using a TOAKS pot, I brought it to a boil in under seven minutes using ice cold stream water in the morning when the temperature was about seventeen degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the TOAKS mug has a cut out in the base that is just the right size to fit snugly in my SPAM spread plate, saving me the balance issues I've had in the past. The TOAKS cup size is also perfect for my needs. I need to boil water for soup or ramen as well as for coffee and hot chocolate. The TOAKS mug masterfully meets these requirements. I was raving to a friend about how good this mug is and then I felt stupid. I told him I found it absurd to get so upset over something so small, but he assured me that it's always okay to get upset over a small pot.
