Best Microfiber Towel (Detailed Rating)

Children go on overnight school trips so must bring their own towels; some holiday destinations require us to bring our own beach towels; and our last beach resort just ran out of towels. So I decided we needed packed towels. I've been looking for non-microfiber towels, but if you want to wrap them up, that's microfiber. My previous experience with microfiber has mainly been with wonderful cleaning towels and Twisty Turban - similar to terry cloth, but after washing/drying it causes an uncomfortable feeling of static electricity (maybe I shouldn't have tumble dried it) - so I was a little dubious. I have read reviews of many towels and specifically looked for reviews that said the towels felt great, narrowed it down to 4 and bought 2 to try. : Lrg & Med) with Carry Bags - by TravelSnugs' and 'Microfiber Towel Set 3 Pack Ideal for Camping Travel Swimming Beach Bath Compact & Quick Drying - 4 Active n'. a few differences that give DrySnugs an edge. They even have the same towel loops which is the source of my main complaint about these towels. The towel loop is very large and made from the same material as the toughest and scratchiest care label linen you've ever annoyed on a shirt. It has a big hard latch - I think maybe that allows campers to snap it around a branch? The worst thing is that it's attached to a corner of a very long towel which means I ended up hanging it on the shower door (the hook is above eye level) and when I open/close the door the end of the towel drags towels over the wet shower floor. fasten it in the middle of the towel. I'll probably cut it off. FEEL: Both feel exactly the same - a very thin, smooth fabric with a low, fluffy pile that clings a little to the skin when rubbed. The rub works great on the front/arms/legs and if you hold the ends tight you can pull it back and forth to rub your back. Feels very good except for the need to lubricate, no static. Haven't washed it yet and according to the instructions I'll hang dry after washing so I hope it keeps the feel. DrySnugs appears to be a little thicker than 4 active ns, which could mean it packs a microbit more than 4 active ns, but the dimensions of 4 active ns are slightly larger, so this is probably a blur. equally. I took a shower and used one of each towel to dry 50% of myself (vertically so each dried an arm, a leg, half a torso, etc. I wanted to be honest!). It was a little tricky to dry the front...but that's because I tried to do it like a cotton towel and also only dry half of mine. The towels dried me completely and hardly felt wet afterwards. T-Shirt It probably seems wetter after a hot day. I hung it on a towel rail and the towels were completely dry in a short time. DrySnugs: Your choice of gray with a pink border or navy blue with a white border. I got two for a very low price ($14.95) and the sizes are great. Bath towel 30x60. The 48x24 size is universal: it's big enough to wrap my shoulder-length hair in a turban; it's a bit big for a towel, but it's enough; and if necessary, it could serve as a bath towel in an emergency. Each towel came in a separate bag (nylon back, mesh front, velcro). The company sent me 3 more emails with very sweet exhortations to write a review. 4 Active User: Your choice of cobalt or purple (hot blue or hot pink) with the same color trim. I bought three cobalt blue towels for $19.99 (that's $22.99 for the raspberry, which I think is crazy for charging $3 for one color). The bath towel is slightly larger than the 31x61 DrySnugs, but that's not noticeable. I don't like the 12x32 size: it's too small for my hair and too narrow and long for a towel (like trying to dry my hands with a scarf). Maybe it's designed as a sports towel to throw around your neck. 16x16 is a great towel. Each towel came in a separate bag (nylon back, nylon front with small mesh window, flip top) which I didn't like: the tight flip top made it difficult to get the towels out and even more difficult to put them in ; and the 16 x 16 towel came in a useless tiny drawstring pouch. CONCLUSION: The towels are very similar, but I would recommend DrySnugs based on the size of the second towel and overall cost. You may have different choices as to whether 12x32 is the right size for you. Gray is not an exciting color; Blue would be better but still calm. I'd love to buy raspberries for my daughter, but I won't pay $3 for them (out of principle). I prefer DrySnugs storage bags although this is a very minor issue. The added benefit of having the larger towels is that they make great airplane blankets (pack the small ones in your carry-on) and are large enough to be placed on a baby's beach towel. Other towels to consider: MyQuest Microfiber Towel with Case - Premium Antimicrobial Treatment for Sports, Yoga, Hiking, Travel - Hassle Free is a 14" x 24" towel suitable for taller individuals who require a large bath towel. I didn't get it because it's $17.77 for a towel and seems too big for a regular bath towel and not big enough for a beach towel. A 5ft 9in person needs >69in to keep their feet from dangling in the sand. Dock & Bay Microfiber Beach Towel & Bag - Quick Dry Travel Towel Lightweight & Compact (Extra Large Size XL 78x35inch, Large Size 63x31inch) Beach Towels & Travel Towels - Striped Towel Design for Pool, Swimming, Beach, Travel, Camping offers a 35 x 78 size towel for $24.99. This towel is striped and looks great (although one review says the color will fade). The length is a real beach towel. although I worry that the size - even microfiber - will take up more luggage space than I'd like to allocate.
