I didn't need this "filter removal tool" to remove the oil filter but for another project and I needed a 120mm diameter container. The maximum extent to which this tool can be opened is 110 mm. Therefore I cannot use the tool as it was made. So I made a longer strap to match the item I want to work with. See photo. The photo shows the tool set at 120mm, which can open even further.
