I wasn't gentle with this thing. It's been stuffed in bags, thrown on tile floors, thrown on counters and tables, but it still works without a single broken bristle. I bought this brush mainly in the hope that unlike any other brush I have ever owned, it was quick and easy to clean and met my expectations. Removing hair from the bristles is a breeze with the end of a rat tail comb, and when I notice hair growth I just take it in the shower with me and then rub (real!) clarifying shampoo around and between the bristles and rinse. Pick up the handset and hang up. Since it doesn't have many bristles or a pad, it's done when I pop out of it. The bristles on this brush are long enough and stiff enough to comb through thick hair, yet flexible enough to use on damp hair. Hair. I also like that it is vented which saves time blow drying your hair. The only thing I don't like about this brush is that it breaks if I brush my hair carelessly. My strands tend to get tangled around the bristles instead of slipping past them, so I can't just pull them through my hair head to tail like I normally would or I'll end up with mega split ends. So I feel like this brush needs a bit more finesse in that regard. However, if I could find a serum or spray that added shine (and heat protection!) without making my hair greasy, I believe breakage would be reduced.
