This comb is pictured to be exactly the same as the aerated brush I bought at the barber's counter. The brush I previously had has relatively soft plastic bristles so they tend to give when they get tangled in my hair rather than tearing it. I like it. Pretty durable for my hispanic curly hair. You need a good detangling cream, but it works great. I have fibromyalgia so my arms aren't that strong and I don't have to strain too much to detangle my hair. Definitely recommend it!

I was very happy to buy this brush for my daughter who has trouble combing her hair because it hurts her. I tried it on myself first to show her it's different. It was different, but not for the better. While my hair was wet, it would stretch and break if I kept pulling. I comb my hair every day, wet and dry. I've never had a problem with regular brushes. I'm not gentle at all. This brush doesn't fit my daughter and that's a shame.
