I sent the same large folder of photos on these flash drives to three relatives. At first I thought that the transfer rate is very low. It took 13 minutes to transfer the 4GB folder of pictures from the desktop to each of these three drives. But then I copied the same folder to two different more expensive Sandisk drives, 32GB and 64GB, and it took about the same amount of time. I estimate it will take about 8 minutes or less to burn a DVD. I've already recorded 3 DVDs, but I didn't keep track of the time carefully. I copied the folder to the second and third of the three flash drives and worked on the computer, keeping an eye on the "progress thermometer". In the work saw no slowdown in transmission speed. The limitation lies in the speed of reading data carriers. These drives are about as fast as the larger, more expensive Sandisk drives. They copied from 4 to 7.5 MB/s. This is fine for small files, but slow for large image files.
