Great LEDs but you lose the lighting effect of the halogens

Bought these to replace the 50 watt halogens in my kitchen ceiling light. I wanted to do one at a time while they burned out, but the apparent difference prompted me to replace them all with one shot. At the same time, they perform their function perfectly, without any technical problems. Perfect dimming with my Z-Wave wall dimmer with no flickering or issues. They are bright, warm, and well induced, with slightly more "projection" than halogens (they have slightly more spread and a softer gradient at the edges). The only claims that can be made are simply the effect of the technology. . Halogens "bleed out" light from the back of the case. So if you have transparent cases, they will illuminate the ceiling a little and give you additional indirect light. Such LEDs protrude only in front, so the upper part of the kitchen immediately looked a little darker due to the lack of lighting. A few days later and it just looks good to the eye to be honest. It just makes me want to add LED backlighting and lighting above the cabinet. I had to change the orientation of my lamps as they are a bit narrower and "straighter" in terms of their effective beam. The second effect is that they do not heat up when dimmed, as halogen bulbs do. They keep the same temperature over the entire dimming range. Again, that's how LEDs work, and once you get used to it, it doesn't really matter. Definitely worth dropping from 200w to <20w if something stays on frequently! Be prepared for technological differences when making the switch from halogens.
