Should the water turn brown?
Turns water brown like the tannins in driftwood. Should it happen? Testing the water shows it helps with nitrites which is why I bought it. The fish doesn't seem to care. I have one in each 5 gallon Beta tank and two in a 20 gallon Tetra tank. And the water is a deep golden color, like ginger ale. lol, but chemically it works fine.
