To be honest I had my doubts when ordering. My expectations were low. I was expecting a very cheap fleece material and mediocre quality, but I was pleasantly surprised! Fleece is a good material. It reminds me more of the fleece that would be on a higher quality human coat. It's SUPER stretchy but not like it'll lose its shape. The pattern makes it easy to put on and take off. My dog loves it and that's the most important thing. It is a mixed breed with a very short coat and no functional undercoat, so it tends to be cold. He also has an absurdly long neck. This is perfect for him! This obviously keeps him warm, and when he's warm enough he'll tug gently and let me know to take him off. Johnny weighs 50 pounds. His back is 22 inches. Chest 27.5 inches. The yellow coat he's wearing is oversized. Pros: The shape wraps around his bottom to keep him warm. Lightweight fleece is enough to help with a little warmth inside or out. Fleece stretches well. Good did. Slim and snug enough to be worn under a waterproof coat or vest. Cons: Any fleece (including this one) picks up dog hair like a magnet. Also collects grass when driving on the road. (doesn't shake off, needs washing) If your dog's tail goes up instead of down, it won't wrap properly around his butt.
