Review on 🚲 Wallmaster Wall Mount Bike Storage Rack with Storage Shelf - Garage Bike Rack Hangers Hooks for Bicycles, Helmets, and Accessories by Stacy Duncan

Premium quality at an affordable price.

The Wallmaster Bike Organizer is well packaged and easy to assemble. The materials are durable and don't seem any different from the higher quality garage kits I've purchased and installed. The screws and standoffs are not trademarked, which is always helpful if you need to take a few extra items with you or want to move the rack to a different location. It only took me about twenty minutes to install the kit. Upon installation I was impressed by how many hooks (two helmet hooks, two bike hooks and a shelf) are included for the modest price. The workshop organization business is based on selling cheap hardware but with a premium on all attachments and modular packages. In terms of a dollar for vertical storage, this shelving is about as economical as it gets. I really like the top shelf, it's a really nice setup that adds more vertical space. All in all a very clean setup with impressive initial quality. There are a few potential downsides to buying the Wallmaster brand, but none of these affect me, so I'm not deducting a star. The first is the overall design of all of their systems, represented by 16-inch segments. If you're trying to make a long, continuous base post, spend extra time making sure they all line up, otherwise you'll have to re-drill holes and patch the drywall. The second problem is that the pre-drilled holes are four inches apart in each 16 inch segment. If you plan on not using drywall standoffs and drilling them into the stud, your only option is to hope your studs are spaced exactly in 4 inch increments to drill each screw into the stud. Other premium brands offer base posts in various lengths with pre-drilled holes approximately ΒΌ" to Β½" each, giving you the option to drill everything into one stud for added security. I don't have a problem with drywall spacers like some reviewers, but I also don't exceed the listed weight limit. My only other recommendation for Wallmaster is to consider selling pre-packaged gaskets and screws in bulk for those who plan to reposition their rack or move every few years (which is my case).

Pros
  • HEAVY DUTY STEEL - Our wall mounted storage tools are well made as evidenced by the quality of the steel and the fine craftsmanship in the finishing. And it's garage storage. Rubber sleeves prevent scratches and tools from slipping.
Cons
  • Difficult to say
