I have a pit bull mix who goes to kindergarten 1-2 times a week. He likes to scratch all furniture. I checked the jackets on every other visit. They would be torn to shreds. This is actually my second coat, the first one still looks like new and was worn regularly in kindergarten. The Velcro is also very well made. The velcro (with probably 70 wears) eventually failed. When I noticed how good the first coat was, I immediately bought a second one. For the price of this coat, you get your money back tenfold. This is the only coat I have used for my dog in the last 10 months. I have a Pit/Red Healer mix that is 62lbs and wears large. He fits perfectly.
