The quality is normal for a cheap lamp, but the installation really annoyed me. I recently installed a very similar lamp and it took 5-10 minutes of painless work. I had an issue with this one because one of the screws in the ceiling socket was too loose - now that was probably the fault of my aging box, but with many other lights just using one screw wouldn't do much. Issues, but this one has the annoying trait that the same screw that connects the mounting plate to the socket is also used to mount the lamp using the keyhole insert and twist method. It's an excruciating pain because you have to unscrew the screws far enough for them to reach and then push them through 2 inches of fiberglass in a futile attempt to align them. I never got the second one. Well, if you pull back the bolts, they'll do. pray you have no resistance (as I had while loosening one screw hole the other was tightened) because those screws blow their heads off like they were made of lead. I'm so tired of manufacturers using the cheapest screws they can get. So, that's my little rant about the installation. Now I need to wash all the fiberglass particles off my hands. If your ship is in good condition and you have a little patience this is a good light but I would like it to be as easy to install as the previous one.
