Kinda doesn't work

After I installed the control valve I found that the thermocouple fitting is an M8 when the valve takes an M6 fitting. In otherwords the thermocouple is too big for the control valve. To check I used the old thermocouple to check the size and surprise it screwed in perfectly, then I compared the old and new thermocouples and found that the new one is bigger. How hard is it to put a parts together properly.

Pros
  • no hassles
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain propane tanks or fittings

Exact replacement - propane excess gas smell

I used this for my firepit as the knob and thermocoupler were not working correctly. This part was an exact match to what I pulled out of my fire pit. I installed as directed and tightened all the connections appropriately. On the first use there was an overwhelming smell of propane while the pit was on. We have never had that experience before. The next day I removed all the connections, and reseated and tightened. Restarted the pit and the same.Someone mentioned that this has a larger…

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • May not provide adequate safety measures for larger fireplaces or fire pits

THe only complaint about this valve is the KNOB. Its mark is opposite for the "OFF" position. SO i just used some white paint for reference. Not a big deal for what you need to do which is controlling gas flow.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I installed this to replace a defective valve. This valve will not stay on, total junk. DO NOT BUY!!!

Will see how long it lasts. So far so good.

So I have a 50,000 but propane fire pit. I have had for about 3 or 4 years. Valve assembly went bad. Used this as replacement. So far so good. We use it alot so time will tell.

Pros
  • Fit perfect got my firepit going again
Cons
  • Had to reengineer with fittings to make it work and then it didn’t work like I anticipated.

Good Quality best in my review

This worked just fine to replace the rusted up one on my outdoor fire pit. Good quality materials and shipped fast. That's my review.

Pros
  • Repaired my fire pit in about 25 minutes.
Cons
  • Some users have reported difficulty adjusting the flame to desired levels
