Review on Cerevo LiveShell X: HD Video Streamer with H.265 Encoder, WiFi/Wired Connection - Ustream, Niconico, YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch Compatible by Tim Hull

I was very excited to buy this device to get my hands on it so I can start live streaming from various locations in the field as it is advertised as a PC free device. If you intend to use this primarily outdoors for Facebook Live streaming I would advise you to look elsewhere as you will need to carry a laptop to set up each FB stream you wish to use and an option called 'Other broadcasting services". and you need to copy and paste the stream info from FB to the toolbar because the device does NOT have Facebook Live yet, nor does it have a mobile app, and the customization panel doesn't work on mobile devices (at least I've never been unable to connect, and I doubt it would have made the process any easier, if at all possible). Very disappointing! However, it works for built-in CDNs like YouTube Live (only for events, no impromptu streams), Livestream, Ustream, etc. The device will keep you connected for many hours thanks to an amazing battery that can stream for hours as well as up to 3 CDNs simultaneously Streaming servers in the local network can record directly to the device via SD card. Facebook Live was the main reason, actually it was the only reason I bought this device and that's why I have to deduct two stars (yes two!). This is an amazing device, but the lack of integration with FB Live is its Achilles heel in my opinion. Maybe a little patience and hopefully future updates will make this device perfect for me sooner or later.
