Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ 25ft ODOM Cat7 Ethernet Cable by Adam Rogers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Gold contacts and housing, extremely flexible with heavy-duty shell.

I love flat cables. They make it possible to lay a route in hard-to-reach places and easily hide. Not a huge benefit for short cables like this, but still a benefit. Odom's black Cat7 cable is very flexible, making it easy to fit into cracks, e.g. B. behind flipboards, and bent around tight corners to better hide the cable. You can bend the cable almost towards you. The pictures on the Revain website for the cable are a good example of flex at the corners. The cable material feels smooth to me and should slide easily over other cables if you're pulling a bundle or rat's nest. Working to protect wires from breakage and welded to the cable jacket. The rubber protection on the tongue helps prevent the tongue from catching and breaking off when the cable is pulled through bundles or around corners and I guarantee this will happen and you'll be left with a cable that pops out at the slightest vibration his composure slips . The protective cover itself is very flexible and will not break if caught on anything. The body of the connector is made of transparent plastic but covered with a gold plated cover and its contacts are also gold vapor plated to ensure the best electrical performance without affecting the contacts through oxidation as gold does not oxidize easily. I can't test the full performance of this 10Gbps Cat7 cable, but I have been sending packets over my 1Gbps LAN, connecting this cable to a PC and then to a switch and to the NAS and measured was good, since I got about 835 Mbps +/- 5 with other cables. The cable is marked CAT7 for easy identification. It also bears the ROHS mark. If you've ever wondered what ROHS stands for, it's a pollutant reduction standard required in many countries and the EU both in the product and during its production to ensure a safer environment. Bottom Line: Flat cables are the best and this cable makes it easy to hide in tight spaces while maintaining the speed of my 1G LANs while allowing for future upgrades as faster components become available to consumers. Since it is so easy to install, why not get a fast cable now to support your future upgraded network?
