focus problems? in Door Viewer

Seems well made, but I'm a bit surprised that the view through the device is blurry for me. When I wear reading glasses, the image is better focused, so I may be part of the problem. But the scratched old peephole this one replaced had much better focus than this one. It does its job well, but focus issues make it hard to recommend.
