Buy it! I drive a school bus, and when my nutritionist told me to switch from plastic to glass, I almost laughed at her. I must have researched thousands of glass bottle options. I wanted one of those fancy bottles that offer encouragement and cost over $20, but the only ones with good abuse ratings are well over $40. That's crazy for a water bottle. They brought me in because of the price, but what closed the deal was another reviewer whose husband works in construction. My husband is an electrician so I understand that. She went on to say that even after a fall they were able to survive on the job for a while. With skepticism and prayer I decided to order a set of 3. If one breaks, I've got at least 2 left. Maybe they'll last a month. I was careful with them but you know I dropped a bottle on the bus (with the protective cover) the first week and the bottle survived. I relaxed and was pleasantly surprised. For the next week I threw it off the counter without the case while cooking with my teenage daughter. So far it hasn't broken. Now I'm shocked! A month later I was helping my mom move it and it fell on concrete (with one sleeve) and didn't break again! And so far it hasn't leaked. They close tight and stay that way. I've been carrying it in my backpack (school bus driver) for a few months. While I'm sure they can break, they seem strong enough for my everyday use. My daughter recently asked if she could have one and I gave it away without hesitation. I hand wash the caps, but the bottles are easy to clean in the dishwasher. Much easier than washing travel mugs by hand. There are no small places for germs to hide from the soap. I will buy more for our family. They don't hold the temperature well. We only use them for water. I always prefer room temperature so this works for me. You can put it in the fridge to try and keep it cool longer. I can't believe I'm saying this, but water tastes better in a glass. I considered stainless steel for fear of breakage, but they can leave an aftertaste. Conclusion: This is great! Got it! Buy more than 3.
