These artificial plants were approximately 3.5 inches tall. They are made of plastic and can be a little stiff for fish with sensitive fins. I put these plants in a cichlid tank and they are fine. Before I put these plants in the tank, I aired them out because of the plastic smell and put them in a bucket of water for about 2 weeks, raising and changing the water every day just to be on the safe side. After airing out the smell of the plastic by lifting and cleaning, I put them in the aquarium and had no health problems with the fish.
